Resin Research 2000 CE ULTRA WHITE Epoxy
Developed for the sports and marine industries by epoxy expert and surf guru Greg Loehr and regarded as one of the world’s best surfboard epoxies, Resin Research 2000 CE Ultra Epoxy System is an Optically Brightened formula which gives the resin a slightly blue colour but results in a clear, yet brighter and whiter appearance.
Resin Research 2000 CE Ultra is a modified bisphenol A resin with a medium viscosity offering an excellent balance of clarity and UV stability. It’s unique four way flex controlled resin ensemble gives the engineer more latitude in developing production systems than any other resin system available today.
Resin Research 2000 CE Ultra is very safe to use and easy to mix at a 2:1 ratio. It has extremely low vapour pressure, excellent chemical adhesion and has good resistance to amine blush resulting in a nice high gloss finish when used in conjunction with Additive F.
Additive F has proved itself to be revolutionary as a surfacing and sanding agent giving excellent flow characteristics by reducing surface tension. Additive F also enhances the bond between epoxy coats by chemically eliminating blush. This improves the sanding characteristics of the composite allowing for a finer finish, something epoxy fabricators have always struggled with.
2:1 Mix Ratio
1 part hardener to 2 parts resin by volume (100 parts resin to 47 parts hardener by weight). For best results add 1% of Additive F by volume to mixed product. i.e. 10ml per litre.

At least 24 months from the date of manufacture in the original sealed container at ambient temperature. Store away from heat and excessive humidity in tightly closed containers.
Invented in 2001, Additive F surfacing agent is unique to Resin Research and to the epoxy industry. It has proved itself to be revolutionary as a surfacing and sanding agent which gives excellent flow characteristics by reducing surface tension.
The same forces that act as a surfacing agent also seal the surface raising the barcol hardness. This improves the sanding characteristics of the composite allowing for a finer finish, something epoxy fabricators have always struggled with.
Unlike other wetting and surfacing agents, Additive F also enhances the bond between epoxy coats by chemically eliminating blush. Blush in epoxy coatings is the primary reason for recoating difficulties and has to be physically removed (usually by sanding) before recoating could be attempted. Additive F eliminates this step.
For best results add 1% by volume to mixed product. i.e. 10ml per litre

Using a newly discovered bio waste stream to build the exact same epoxide that is built from traditional pumped chemicals, Resin Research now achieves a bio content in all their resin products of 38 to 48%.
Works well in conjunction with most Mold Release Waxes.
It is NOT RECOMMENDED for use with water based resins or on automotive paint surfaces.
